PR Manager, Nordic

Blizzard Entertainment Europe is looking for an experienced public relations manager for Nordic. The ideal candidate will have strong contacts in the computer and video games and mainstream media in the region. Clear, concise communication skills and a passion for Blizzard games are a must. Along with your local Blizzard marketing colleague, you will represent and be the main contact for Blizzard in your local market.

Location: Based in Activision Blizzard office, Sweden
Countries to work with: Nordic countries
Brands: Blizzard Games (Diablo, StarCraft, Warcraft and World of Warcraft)

• Establish and maintain relationships with all types of Nordic trade, consumer and enthusiast media
• Maintain and manage the reputation of the company as perceived by the general public through media.
• Deliver concise and consistent planning for Nordic PR campaigns that reflect the goals and ambitions of the European and Global PR plans.
• Execute local PR plans effectively and successfully
• Plan, prepare and execute events and tours under the direction of the Blizzard Europe HQ team.
• Prepare local specific communication for approval and general distribution.
• Respond to local media requests and/or redirect them to the appropriate team.
• Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with the Nordic Activision Blizzard office, and partners.
• Provide regular written and verbal reportage and feedback to Blizzard’s European HQ on local coverage and potential media issues.
• Provide press cuttings from local media.
• Provide local specific assets for inclusion in pan-European printed and digital press kits.
• Oversee the day-to-day work of the Nordic PR agency if applicable

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 3-5 years experience in a PR position in the videogame or relevant industry
• Educated to degree level
• Established media contacts throughout enthusiast and mainstream press in Nordic region
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and at least one Nordic language
• Organized with a strong attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A strong motivation and high level of commitment
• Strong knowledge of and personal experience in playing Blizzard games

PLUSES

• Knowledge in Internet related computer environment
• Fluent in Swedish
• Passion for playing video games
• Knowledge of and enthusiasm for MMORPGs
