10-May-2011 Arena Pass Registration Is Now Open!
Gather your teammates and prepare to fight for fame, fortune and glory in the 2011 World of Warcraft Arena Pass. Registration for the Arena Pass is currently open to all owners of European World of Warcraft accounts upgraded to Cataclysm. By registering for the 2011 Arena Pass, players will be able to create three ready-made level 85 characters of any available race/class combination with access to top-notch armor, weapons, accessories and enhancements. Those who prove themselves in the arena can win a special in-game pet and, for the best of the best, the title "Vanquisher!"
05-May-2011 Try World of Warcraft Remote for Free!
Between now and May 10, players will be able to access both features of World of Warcraft Remote -- Remote Guild Chat and the Remote Auction House -- for free. The Remote Auction House allows players to place bids, post auctions, collect their hard-earned gold, and more from a supported mobile device or the World of Warcraft website.

Beginning May 11, players will need a subscription to World of Warcraft Remote to access both of these features. If you already have World of Warcraft Remote, we’ve got you covered -- current subscribers who signed up for the service before May 4 will automatically receive an additional seven days of World of Warcraft Remote subscription time for free.

Time is money, friends -- so start buying, selling, and chatting up a Maelstrom!
03-May-2011 Cenarion Hatchling for Japan Earthquake Relief
Introducing the latest World of Warcraft companion up for adoption in the online Pet Store: the wild and noble Cenarion Hatchling! This little critter is the twin of the rare Hippogryph Hatchling pet players could randomly encounter in the first World of Warcraft Trading Card Game set, Heroes of Azeroth -- and he's emerged from the forests of Azeroth to lend a helping talon to some friends in need. For every Cenarion Hatchling purchased between now and July 31, 100% of the €10 adoption fee will be donated to support earthquake and tsunami relief efforts in Japan.

02-May-2011 Darkmoon Faire Heads To Cologne!
On May 7 and 8, the Darkmoon Faire will be taking place in Cologne, Germany. Players of the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game will meet up to test their decks against each other in a series of tournaments sponsored by Cryptozoic. In addition to tournaments for everyone from novice to adept, there will be many other live events taking place. For more information, head over to the Darkmoon Faire: Cologne information page. Remote Guild Chat is now available for Android™ mobile devices, iPhone®, and iPod touch®! The Remote Guild Chat feature lets you stay in touch with your guildmates wherever you go:
  • Read and contribute to your guild’s in-game chat channel in real time
  • Participate in one-on-one conversations with members of your guild
  • k
  • View the members of your guild who are currently online
For a limited time, both Android and iPhone/iPod touch users can access the Remote Guild Chat feature without a subscription to World of Warcraft Remote. This free preview is currently available on all North American, European, and Korean World of Warcraft realms.

After the free preview period ends, players will need to have a subscription to World of Warcraft Remote in order to continue using the feature. We'll announce the end of the free preview period in the near future -- keep an eye on the official World of Warcraft website for further details.

To access Remote Guild Chat, players will need to download the free World of Warcraft Remote app for Android (formerly known as the Remote Auction House app) or the free World of Warcraft Mobile Armory app iPhone and iPod touch.

13-Apr-2011 BlizzCon 2011 Tickets On Sale May 21 and 26
Mark your calendars! Tickets for BlizzCon 2011 will go on sale at on Saturday, May 21 at 7 p.m. Paris time and on Thursday, May 26 at 4 a.m. Paris time through the official BlizzCon website (www.blizzcon.com). In addition, a limited number of tickets to an exclusive pre-BlizzCon Benefit Dinner will go on sale Saturday, May 28 at 7 p.m. Paris time. BlizzCon tickets will be available at $175 USD each, while tickets to the BlizzCon Benefit Dinner (which include admission to the show) will be priced at $500 each, with proceeds going to benefit Children's Hospital of Orange County. Tickets to previous BlizzCon shows have sold out within minutes, so be sure to synchronize your hourglasses.

If you can't make it to the show in person, the BlizzCon Virtual Ticket will once again allow you to watch the event live from the comfort of your own home. The Virtual Ticket will be available as multi-channel Internet stream around the world and also via DIRECTV in the United States.

On March 30, StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty took home the highly prestigious LARA – Best International Computer Game award. Blizzard Entertainment Europe was on hand in Munich, Germany to receive the trophy. World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King took the LARA Online Award in 2009, making this year’s award the second LARA Blizzard has won.
