29-Apr-2011 BlizzCast 16 on World of Warcraft Patch 4.2
We're excited to present the first-ever video BlizzCast, now in beautiful full-motion 2D! (Don't forget to wear your 2D glasses.) We've also jam-packed this episode with juicy information on World of Warcraft patch 4.2. Rob sits down with Game Director Tom Chilton to find out what the patch is all about, Lead Quest Designer Dave Kosak lays out info on the new Firelands quest hub, and Lead Content Designer Cory Stockton spits and flows on Ragnaros and the upcoming raid content.

28-Apr-2011 Remote Guild Chat Now on Android, iPhone, and iPod Touch
Remote Guild Chat is now available for Android™ mobile devices, iPhone®, and iPod touch®! The Remote Guild Chat feature lets you stay in touch with your guildmates wherever you go:
  • Read and contribute to your guild’s in-game chat channel in real time
  • Participate in one-on-one conversations with members of your guild
  • k
  • View the members of your guild who are currently online
For a limited time, both Android and iPhone/iPod touch users can access the Remote Guild Chat feature without a subscription to World of Warcraft Remote. This free preview is currently available on all North American, European, and Korean World of Warcraft realms.

After the free preview period ends, players will need to have a subscription to World of Warcraft Remote in order to continue using the feature. We'll announce the end of the free preview period in the near future -- keep an eye on the official World of Warcraft website for further details.

To access Remote Guild Chat, players will need to download the free World of Warcraft Remote app for Android (formerly known as the Remote Auction House app) or the free World of Warcraft Mobile Armory app iPhone and iPod touch.

13-Apr-2011 BlizzCon 2011 Tickets On Sale May 21 and 26
Mark your calendars! Tickets for BlizzCon 2011 will go on sale at on Saturday, May 21 at 7 p.m. Paris time and on Thursday, May 26 at 4 a.m. Paris time through the official BlizzCon website ( In addition, a limited number of tickets to an exclusive pre-BlizzCon Benefit Dinner will go on sale Saturday, May 28 at 7 p.m. Paris time. BlizzCon tickets will be available at $175 USD each, while tickets to the BlizzCon Benefit Dinner (which include admission to the show) will be priced at $500 each, with proceeds going to benefit Children's Hospital of Orange County. Tickets to previous BlizzCon shows have sold out within minutes, so be sure to synchronize your hourglasses.

If you can't make it to the show in person, the BlizzCon Virtual Ticket will once again allow you to watch the event live from the comfort of your own home. The Virtual Ticket will be available as multi-channel Internet stream around the world and also via DIRECTV in the United States.

On March 30, StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty took home the highly prestigious LARA – Best International Computer Game award. Blizzard Entertainment Europe was on hand in Munich, Germany to receive the trophy. World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King took the LARA Online Award in 2009, making this year’s award the second LARA Blizzard has won.
