We've just added a special treat to our comics section: a heartwarming tale from our own Samwise Didier, just in time for Valentine's Day. Be sure to check the comics section regularly, as we plan to release more webcomics from Blizzard artists in the months ahead. You'll also find an archive of comics we've collected from the talented artists in our player community.

In 1991, three young UCLA graduates decided to start their own game company. Their goal: make cool games and have fun doing so. Twenty years later, what started as the dream of three geeks on a mission has become one of the world's most well-regarded game development houses, with offices across the globe and millions of gamers playing its titles in more than a dozen languages via, one of the biggest online gaming networks in existence. This year marks the twentieth anniversary of the founding of the company you know as Blizzard Entertainment.

Join us on our new 20th anniversary mini-site as we celebrate two decades worth of games and the community of players who made it all possible through their passion, enthusiasm, and support.

What could be better than spending two days checking out the latest versions of Blizzard games, watching eSports tournaments, and chatting with developers alongside a few thousand of your closest friends? We couldn't think of anything either, so we're bringing BlizzCon back in 2011! That's right, BlizzCon will be returning to the Anaheim Convention Center on Friday, October 21 through Saturday, October 22, and will feature an exciting mix of discussion panels, tournaments, hands-on gameplay, contests, and much more. 18-Jan-2011 Intel Extreme Masters European Championship
Twelve top-tier European StarCraft II players will be attending the Intel Extreme Masters European Championship Finals event in Kiev, Ukraine this weekend. These fierce warriors have already fought their way through the preliminary group stage, rising to the top of their groups with their superior strategies and prowess - now, can they make it to the World Championship?

The players who have qualified for the European Championship will compete at the CyberSport Arena from January 20-23 in a fight for dominance over Europe, $18,000 in prize money, and the chance to advance to the World Championship which takes place in the coming months.

The tournament will be shoutcasted live by Kevin "RotterdaM" van der Kooi on ESL TV.
