PORTUGUESE (BRAZILIAN) VERSION OF WORLD OF WARCRAFT® NOW AVAILABLE IN EUROPE
PARIS, France – November 30, 2011 -- Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. today announced the availability in Europe of the Portuguese (Brazilian) version of its critically acclaimed massively multiplayer online role-playing game, World of Warcraft®. All European players can now choose the Portuguese (Brazilian) language option in the game client at no additional cost. Retail copies of the game, with boxes and documentation fully localized into European Portuguese, will be arriving in stores across Portugal starting December 9.
Additionally, a new World of Warcraft realm dedicated to the Portuguese community will be available to all players with a European World of Warcraft license starting on December 7. Free character transfers to this realm will be offered from designated realms for a limited time, and a European Portuguese language customer service team is already in place; more information can be found on the official World of Warcraft forums. The Portuguese (Brazilian) version of the World of Warcraft community site will also be brought to Europe, with additional European Portuguese-specific content coming soon.
The World of Warcraft®Battle Chest®(RRP: EUR 14,99) -- which now includes the content of the first expansion, The Burning Crusade®-- the second expansion set, Wrath of the Lich King®(RRP: EUR 34,99), and the third expansion, Cataclysm™ (RRP: EUR 34,99) will be available from launch.
Portuguese (Brazilian) is the tenth officially supported language for World of Warcraft worldwide, and the sixth supported language in Europe, complementing the existing English, French, German, Spanish and Russian versions.
