StarCraft II
British terran player Benjamin "DeMusliM" Baker won the historic final StarCraft II Beta ZOTAC-Cup, which once again attracted 512 keen players. In the final he beat jimpo by the score of 3-1, claiming his second victory in the history of the cup.

American shoutcaster Sean "Day[9]" Plott has launched "Day[9]'s King of the Beta" tournament, featuring eight of the best players from all over the world fighting for their share of the $3,000 prize pool. The first games have already concluded and VODs are available on day9tv. Make sure to tune in for the semi-finals and final, which are scheduled for the midnight launch of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty.

In the 23rd Go4SC2 Cup Ukrainian Eugeniy "Strelok" Oparishev emerged victorious after defeating his countryman Oleksii "White-Ra" Krupnyk in four games. This win takes Strelok to first place in the overall Go4SC2 StarCraft II Beta rankings, knocking Tarson off the top spot. The Electronic Sports League is coming back with Go4SC2 next week so make sure to sign up to get involved!

Warcraft III
The 146th edition of the weekly ZOTAC-Cup was played last Sunday, and South Korean Night Elf player Kim "ReMinD" SungSik defeated Danish player Thomas "ThomasG" Glinski, playing as Skingle, in three games. It was the 22nd victory for the most accomplished ZOTAC-Cup player in the world and he doesn't seem to be willing to stop!

World of Warcraft

2010 European Warcraft Invitational

We are proud to announce the 2010 European Warcraft Invitational, which will take place on August 7 and 8, 2010. The location is KOMED at the Mediapark, in Cologne, Germany.

Eight of Europe’s best 3-vs.-3 World of Warcraft Arena teams will be selected to take part in the 2010 European Warcraft Invitational. These teams will be chosen by Blizzard based on their previous Arena performance.

In addition, the top-six-ranked players in the current Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne invitational ladder will be invited to participate in this event, alongside the two finalists from the 2009 Warcraft Regional Finals.

The top two Arena teams and top two Warcraft III tournament players from the 2010 European Warcraft Invitational will then be invited to compete at BlizzCon 2010, to be held in Anaheim, California, for even greater glory.

Edition #14 of the weekly ZOTAC-Cup saw the Russian Terran player Pavel "BRAT_OK" Kuznetsov clinch the title, defeating Danish Terran player Rasmus "Drafter" Kristensen in the final. The prestigious World Cyber Games has announced its first four torch-bearers for the WCG 2010 Torch Relay. South Korean StarCraft player Lee "Jaedong" Jaedong and Chinese Warcraft III player Li "Sky" Xiaofeng will have the honor of representing their respective countries. Warcraft III
South Korean Night Elf player Kim "ReMinD" SungSik battled to victory in the latest edition of the weekly ZOTAC-Cup. ReMinD didn't lose a single map, taking down French player Vincent "Monster" Lao and then South Korean Kim "ViOlet" DongHwan in the final with perfect scores. Also, the fifth season of the ESL Intel Extreme Masters will commence with a Global Challenge in Shanghai, where Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne competitors will fight for $5000 in prize money.

World of Warcraft
Major League Gaming Columbus concluded this weekend, but not before we were treated to some of the best Arena action in the game's history. The final between South Korean team "Loaded Black" and North American team "compLexity Red" turned out to be an absolute nail-biter. In this RMP mirror-match Loaded Black were the eventual winners, taking home $9000 in prize money. StarCraft II Beta
Both the quarter- and semi- finals of the GLHF.it Invitational tournament concluded last weekend and we’re down to our two finalists! GosuGamers have prepared summaries and recaps of all the action, including some VODs, so be sure to check them out and remember to stay tuned for more thrills in the upcoming final. Elsewhere, Finnish Terran player Juha-Matti "Satiini" Bäckström was victorious in edition #13 of the weekly ZOTAC-Cup, beating Ukrainian Zerg player Dima "DIMAGA" Filipchuk in the final 3-1. Another competition, the Go4SC2 tournament series by the Electronic Sports League, continued this week with edition #19. Swedish Terran player MorroW emerged triumphant beating the Danish Protoss player Joe in the final 3-2. Also in Go4SC2 tournament news, the May final has been held and the Canadian Protoss player “HuK” was crowned champion after defeating German Random player Dario “TheLittleOne” Wünsche.

Warcraft III
The back and forth ZOTAC-Cup rivalry between South Koreans Kim “ReMinD” SungSik and Kim “FoCuS” HyoSub continues, as ReMinD won last week’s tournament and once again pulled away in the overall standings. In the final ReMinD claimed victory over Orc player Dong Hwan “violet” Kim over three games. In other news we would like to congratulate Manuel “Grubby” Schenkhuizen and Cassandra Ng on their marriage. World of Warcraft
With Major League Gaming right around the corner we are looking forward to a weekend full of arena battles! The participating teams were recently announced, and starting June 4th these sixteen teams will clash in Columbus, Ohio, where winners will take home over $15,000 in cash. Over at Hydramist the editor Yiska has blogged about the current state of the European scene, with a specific focus on how the teams are doing at the European Arena Pass. He brings us a lot of insider information, letting us know exactly what the well-known teams are currently up to. StarCraft II: Wings Of Liberty - Beta Schedule Update

We previously announced that the first phase of the StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty beta test would be coming to a close in all regions on Monday, May 31. In order to prepare for the final phase of beta testing, we plan to extend the current phase in all regions until Monday, June 7. After this date, the beta test will be unavailable for several weeks while we make some hardware and software configuration changes for the final phase of the beta test and the release of the game. We plan to bring the beta test back online for a couple of weeks prior to the game’s launch to complete our testing. We’ll have more details to share about when this final phase will begin at a later date.

We'd like to thank all of our beta-test participants for your enthusiasm, dedication, and valuable feedback during the beta test, and we look forward to hearing more of your thoughts on the StarCraft II beta test as the game's July 27 launch approaches.

The HDH Invitational tournament concluded last week following an epic final between Ukrainian Protoss player Oleksei “White-Ra” Krupnyk and one of the most closely followed players in the world, American Zerg player Greg “IdrA” Fields. The best of seven series produced some of the most amazing games of the tournament and both players proved worthy of their place in the final. To see who won and collected the first-place prize of $2000 check the official tournament thread, where you can find results, recaps and VODs of all the games from the tournament.

Warcraft III
South Korean Orc player Kim ‘FoCuS’ HyoSub gave yet another amazing performance in the 138th edition of the weekly ZOTAC-Cup. Having beaten some of the best Warcraft III players en route to the final, he once again displayed admirable perseverance to fend off his fellow countryman, Orc player Jang ‘WhO’ DuSeop, defeating him over a five game series. With this result bringing him to 18 ZOTAC-Cup wins he is closing the gap on the most accomplished ZOTAC-Cup player, Kim ‘ReMinD’ SungSik.

World of Warcraft
The famous Warlock player Isaac Cummings-Bentley, also known as Azael from Team-EG, has been interviewed by Bartov Gaming to discuss current setups and tactics. Also, the Ranked Ladder Phase 1 of the 2010 World of Warcraft Arena Pass has begun. Participants have spent the last few weeks honing their strategies, trying various team compositions, and practicing with their teams. It’s now time to play for keeps! Edition #12 of the ZOTAC-Cup, which takes place each Sunday afternoon, featured 512 participants and a vast number of incredible matches. German random player Dario "Liquid.TheLittleOne" Wünsch took first place, beating Russian Terran player Pavel "Brat_OK" Kuznetsov with a score of 3-0. Meanwhile, the HDH Invitational tournament is running strongly and the round of four just concluded. Check the HDH invitational information page for the latest results and more information. And finally for StarCraft II, the Go4SC2 tournament organized by the Electronic Sports League continues. Edition #15 just concluded and the Canadian Protoss player HuK triumphed over the Zerg army of the German Dark.FoRcE.

Warcraft III
The Esport Champion League recently concluded with a masterful display. With only one map lost during the entire tournament, the Human player Xiang "Rage.TH000" Huang from China emerged victorious and grabbed the first prize of around 2,300€. He was closely followed by Orc player WE.LiKe in second and WE.InFi, playing Human, in third position. In other news, the Warcraft III 2010 invitational ladder has now ended. The top six players from each invitational ladder will advance to join the top two performers per region from last year's tournament to compete in the regional finals.

World of Warcraft
The European Arena Pass continues to attract the most competitive Arena players - check out the current standings at the Armory. BlizzCon 2010 Tickets On Sale June 2 and June 5

Tickets to this year's BlizzCon gaming convention, being held on October 22 and 23 in Anaheim, California, will go on sale worldwide on Wednesday, June 2 at 7 p.m. Pacific time for $150 each, with a second block of tickets going on sale Saturday, June 5 at 10 a.m. Pacific time (June 3 at 4 a.m. and June 5 at 7 p.m. Paris time).

For those unable to attend, DIRECTV will once again be televising BlizzCon in high definition as a Pay Per View event, featuring coverage from the show floor, exclusive interviews, demos, and more. In addition, players around the world will be able to purchase the Pay Per View event as a multichannel Internet stream, allowing viewers online to switch between coverage of multiple panels and activities during the show.

StarCraft II Beta
The quarter-finals of the HDH Invitational tournament, organized by notorious StarCraft shoutcasters Husky and HD, were played last weekend with four players advancing to the semi-finals. To check the spoiler-free results and watch VODs of all the games visit the official tournament thread over at Teamliquid . The second edition of the Teamliquid Invitational, this time including 16 well-known American players, concluded last weekend. In a gripping finale the Zerg player Slush beat one of the best Terrans out there, CauthonLuck, by the score 3-1, pocketing the first place prize of $300. After a few weeks of riveting games the final of the Razer Domination Tournament was played with the Ukrainian Zerg player DIMAGA crowned as champion. Battling against the British Terran player DeMusliM, DIMAGA finally clinched victory, and the €250 prize money, with a 3-2 scoreline. Third place was taken by Liquid’Nazgul who defeated Ukrainian player Strelok over five games. A full recap of the final can be found over at GosuGamers. In other news, all the available slots in the 11th edition of the weekly ZOTAC-Cup were quickly filled with 512 eager players. The Swedish Protoss player NaNiwa once again showed phenomenal skill and perseverance as he won his third ZOTAC-Cup in a row. This time he quickly disposed of the excellent Terran player Jinro, winning 3-0.

Warcraft III
Qualification for the Warcraft III 2010 Regional contest will conclude on 17 May and as such we’re really expecting the last few days to bring us some intense games. Follow the European gateway Northrend, the North American gateway Azeroth and the Asian gateway Kalimdor to see who qualifies. In the 136th edition of the weekly ZOTAC-Cup the South Korean Sung Sik “ReMinD” Kim emerged victorious by defeating the Kazakh Human player “VeryB1gman” in the final. ReMinD now holds a total of nineteen ZOTAC trophies and is still topping the hall of fame.

World of Warcraft
The practice phase of the European Arena Pass is well underway and will continue until 25 May. You can follow the evolving ladder right here. On 26 May the ladder will be reset and the rated games will begin to uncover who our next Vanquishers will be! The Major League Gaming recently announced their plans for the 2010 Pro Circuit, detailing World of Warcraft as one of the titles. The season kicks off June 4-6 in Columbus, Ohio, where 16 of the top World of Warcraft 3v3 Arena teams from around the globe will be invited to fight for honor and glory!

The Razer Domination Tournament has moved into the final stage following two amazing semi-final match-ups. Four of the most well-known players battled ferociously for a spot in the final in a series of exciting games! Ryan "Hydra" van Buiten from Team Dignitas has published his new updated Priest Guide which includes his talent specs, the gear he recommends and more. Meanwhile, Hydramist sat down with "PartypinglÆn," a Holy Paladin from the European realm Stormscale, to discuss his team and the healing side of Arena play. Finally, check out the new movie from "Tehseus," Ret paladin from Austria playing on the German realm Destromath, for some incredible Arena action featuring his 2.6k+ rated 2v2 team.

Warcraft III
Orc player June "Lyn" Park from South Korea came out victorious in the Alienware TopGamer tournament, which featured some of the best Warcraft III players in the world. In the final he managed to beat Cheng "Sai" Long Zhou from China by the score of 3-1 and secured the title and $7,500 first prize. Sai walked away with $3,000 for second place, while two other two Chinese stars - Huang "TH000" Xiang ($1,500) and Xuwen "Infi" Wang ($750) - finished third and fourth respectively.

StarCraft II Beta
The eighth StarCraft II Beta ZOTAC-Cup tournament saw a clash of two Swedish players in the finals. In the end the Protoss armies of "Bischu" stood no chance against the Zerg swarm of "ZpuX." Both finalists got through an impressive field, as once again 512 players signed up and participated in the tournament. Also, the Electronic Sports League Go4SC2 tournament series continues with the Cup Editions 6 and 7. Here the former Swedish WarCraft III star "Naniwa" defeated "cHoBo" from Poland, earning Naniwa 40 points towards his standing for the overall final. With only two remaining Cups until the final edition, #7 promised to be thrilling. And indeed it was! Nearly 400 players signed up and in the final the German player "TheLittleOne" triumphed over the Zerg of "Zpux" from Sweden. In other news, the Razer StarCraft II Beta Domination is ongoing, featuring 16 invited top players from Europe. Make sure to follow the group stage of this enthralling competition.

StarCraft II Beta
The seventh edition of the weekly StarCraft II Beta ZOTAC-Cup tournament once again produced some exciting matches. After getting through the field of 512 registered players, the two last competitors standing produced an intense Protoss vs Protoss final. Ultimately, Polish player Grzegorz "MaNa" Komincz beat Victor "LiquidNazgul" Goossens from the Netherlands by a score of 3-2, earning his first ZOTAC-Cup victory. Meanwhile, Razer announced its first StarCraft II Beta Domination Tournament. Sixteen well-known players from all over Europe were invited to battle for fame and €400 in prize money. The complete list of invited players and schedules can be found on GosuGamers. Finally, be sure to check out the Go4SC2 Beta-Cup series by the Electronic Sports League. Editions 5 and 6 have been played and it's getting closer to the showdown.

Warcraft III
The Undead player Zeng "TeD" Zhuo from China won the NGF 2010 tournament last weekend which featured eight of the best Asian players. In the final he managed to overcome the Night Elf legend Jang "Moon" Jae Ho from South Korea, pocketing the $2500 first place prize.

World of Warcraft

StarCraft II Beta
The first monthly final of Electronic Sports League Go4SC2-Cup saw the Spanish player Pedro “LucifroN“ Moreno Durán clash with German Dennis “mouz.Hasuobs” Schneider. Over five thrilling maps, Lucifron managed to overcome HasuObs in the Grand Final, winning €500 and becoming the first Go4SC2 monthly champion. In other news, the first round of the GosuCup StarCraft II Beta Invitational has finished. You can find out who advanced to the next round over at GosuGamers. Also, edition #6 of the weekly ZOTAC-Cup took place, with 509 players participating. In the end the Protoss player GoOdy from Germany triumphed over the Terran player Insolent from Ukraine.

StarCraft II Beta
This week's edition of the ZOTAC-Cup, which takes place every Sunday afternoon, featured 512 participants and a vast number of incredible matches. The Swedish Zerg player Hayder "Haypr0" Hussein emerged victorious, beating the Polish Protoss player Dominik "Rogalos" Rogacki by a score of three to two.

Meanwhile, the TeamLiquid Invitational featured 16 of the very best European players. In a nail-biting finale the Ukrainian Protoss player Oleksii "White-Ra" Krupnyk triumphed over the German Random player Dario "TheLittleOne" Wünsch. In addition to an interview with "White-Ra" and "TheLittleOne," TeamLiquid also offers the replays and VODs of the games.

Diablo II 1.13 Live -- Ladder Reset

The 1.13 patch for Diablo II is now live! With this patch we have included a number of changes including a new respec system, allowing you to reset your character's stats and skills. To update to 1.13 simply connect to Battle.net or to download and install manually visit our Diablo II Patch page.

With the release of 1.13 the Diablo II ladder has been reset and all previous ladder characters are now normal non-ladder characters. To participate in the new ladder you'll need to create a new character and ensure the "Ladder Character" option is checked. The 129th edition of the weekly ZOTAC-Cup saw the epic clash of two of the most accomplished ZOTAC players: South Koreans Eom "FoCuS" HyoSub and Kim 'ReMinD' Sung Sik. The Orc forces of FoCuS once again prevailed, this time over the Night Elf armies of ReMinD, in a very close final that ended with a 3-2 score in favor of FoCuS. With this win he surpassed Grubby's total number of ZOTAC-Cup wins and is catching up to ReMinD who is currently sitting in first place. Once again it is time to unleash your competitive spirit and prepare for battle as we proudly announce the Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne 2010 tournament.

StarCraft II Beta
ESL TV recently ran their first StarCraft II Beta Pro Invite Cup, with 16 well-known players invited. In the end the Spanish Terran Pedro Moreno 'LucifroN' Duran triumphed over this impressive field beating the StarCraft: Brood War legend Victor 'LiquidNazgul' Goossens, playing Protoss, in the final. Also, the StarCraft II Beta ZOTAC-Cup #4 saw a repeat of last week's final, featuring the British Terran player Ben 'DeMusliM' Baker and Ukrainian Zerg player Dima 'DIMAGA' Filipchuk. After getting through the field of 512 players who signed up for the tournament, DeMusliM came out on top, beating his opponent over four games.

Warcraft III 2010 Tournament Preview

We're pleased to announce the Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne 2010 Tournament. The upcoming tournament will use a similar format to those of previous years, with three invitational ladders hosted on the Kalimdor, Northrend, and Azeroth Gateways. Once again, these ladders will initially be populated on an invitation-only basis and feature the world's most established and successful Warcraft III players. Each will function as a standard Battle.net solo ladder, with their own Web interface displaying rankings, and their own map pools. We will be resetting the open ladder on March 29 for those interested in participating. For more information and details on the tournament, please check out the FAQ.

Diablo II Ladder Reset Coming

We will be resetting the Diablo II ladder on March 23 with the release of patch 1.13. We anticipate all Diablo II realms to be down for approximately six hours during the reset. More specific information on realm availability on the day of the reset will be posted in the Battle.net Status forum. When the ladder is reset, all existing ladder characters will be converted to non-ladder. All characters and items being converted to non-ladder will remain intact, but once converted these characters will no longer have access to ladder content such as creating ladder-only rune words. Evil Geniuses are the new arena world champions! After the Intel Extreme Masters Season IV World Finals, at CeBIT in Hannover, Germany, the North American team Evil Geniuses were not only crowned as the victors but they also took home $25,000 in prize money! In the final they triumphed over Team Dignitas from Europe. Runners-up in third place were Button Bashers from South Korea, closely followed by SK Korea in fourth. The Stars War China groups have been announced. Thirty two of the best Chinese players will participate in eight groups of four in an attempt to join their fellow countryman Sky, who was voted a star by the fans, as well as other qualified players, in the Global Finals. In other news, South Korean Hyo Sub "FoCuS" Eom emerged victorious in the 127th edition of the weekly ZOTAC-Cup. In the final he beat the Chinese Human player Xiang "TH000" Huang three games to two.

The second edition of the ZOTAC-Cup saw an enthralling Zerg versus Terran best-of-five match in the final! The swarm, led by Belgian Olivier 'Orly' Bellemans, defeated the Terran army controlled by Swede Stefan 'MorroW' Andersson with a final score of 3-2. As the winner, Orly claimed the weekly prize of €100! GosuGamers has also got involved with the StarCraft II action by writing two interesting interviews. The first features a well-known Polish player, broadcaster and World Cyber Games referee, Maciej 'Raven' Polak, and the second features a former pro gamer from Australia: Peter 'Legionnaire' Neate. The Global Finals of the Intel Extreme Masters have begun at CeBIT in Hannover, Germany. The twelve competing teams have been divided into two groups, with Group A completing their matches this Tuesday. SK Gaming Korea finished in 1st place, closely followed by mousesports Asia and the European side Team Dignitas in 2nd and 3rd respectively. These three teams are now qualified for the play-off stage and will meet the top three teams from Group B. Check out the results from all these matches right here. Also, SK-Gaming caught up with Team-EG's warlock, Isaac "Azael" Bentley, for a video interview in which they ask if he is ready to stake his claim for 'World's Best Warlock.'

Every Saturday, Gamesports.de, in cooperation with ZOTAC, hosts a Warcraft III melee tournament where up to 512 players compete for €100 prize money. This week the winner of the 126th edition is Dutchman Manuel 'Grubby' Schenkhuizen, who defeated German Tobias 'ReiGn' Muth and dominated the tournament without conceding a single map before the final.

The Teamliquid StarLeague Grand Finals concluded this weekend, as American legend Liquid'NonY and German powerhouse ToT.Mondragon fought for $10,000 and the title of TSL Champion. After six intense matches, the Protoss army led by NonY finally bested Mondragon's Zerg attacks, winning 4-2 and thus ending this breathtaking tournament. Meanwhile, the Taiwanese player DuskBin.Sen claimed 3rd place with an amazing 3-2 comeback over Canadian mouz.IefNaij. Congratulations to all the players who took part in this amazing tournament.

With the beta now well underway, the first StarCraft II tournaments are starting! The first of these tournaments, the ESL Invitational, saw White-Ra, ZeeRaX, HasuObs and KaaZ battle for glory. The European team of DuskBin finished the regular season on the first place and managed to beat both of their strongest competitors of Mousesports and Templars of Twilight. From March 2nd to 6th, the Global Finals of the Extreme Masters will determine the winner of the 3v3 World of Warcraft Arena Tournament. Twelve teams from around the world will compete for $50,000 in prize money.

Invitations to participate in the beta test are now being delivered. As with previous Blizzard Entertainment titles, the beta-test process for StarCraft II will occur in phases. In each phase, we will be selecting players who meet specific criteria and who have opted in via their Battle.net accounts.

Players who have been invited to participate in the beta test will need to have a Battle.net account. For more information on the StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty beta test, please read the FAQ and our recent media alert.

Four fascinating Teamliquid StarLeague quarter-final matches were played last weekend to determine the semi-finalists. Also, team DuskBin still tops the iCCup ClanLeague standings after beating Spanish team Los Reyes del Mambo in week eight. German team mousesports is just behind in second place after winning their match against Polish team ZZZ. South Korean sensation Kim 'ViOlet' DongHwan beat his countryman June 'Lyn' Park in an amazing Orc mirror final by a score of 3-1 to win the sixth season of XP League. As well as placing third, Eom "FoCuS" HyoSub also triumphed in the 124th edition of the weekly ZOTAC-Cup organized by Gamesports.net. Runner-up in second place was Jang DuSeop, an Orc player from South Korea. The eight qualified players will compete for a share of $17,500 in prize money.

The Intel Extreme Masters' Asian Championship Finals finished this weekend, with the Rogue, Mage, Priest team Button Bashers claiming first place and $9,000 in prize money. Mousesports Asia and SK-Gaming Korea were runners-up in second and third place respectively. Along with their prize money, these top three teams also qualified for the Global Finals in Hanover. With this part of the tournament now concluded, ESL TV has provided VODs of all of the matches, while Yiska has provided a summary of the tournament. Be sure to check them out! Burning Crusade Armor Sets on FigurePrints

The groups for the World Championship Finals of the Intel Extreme Masters Season 4 have now been drawn. The Electronic Sports League also revealed their groups for the upcoming Asian Championship finals, which will take place in Taipei, Taiwan from February 5th -- 9th. In addition, Ryan "Hydra" van Buiten from Team Dignitas shares his thoughts on dispelling, while the well-known editor Yiska discusses the groups of the Intel Extreme Masters World Championships.

StarCraft
The American Terran player Greg "IdrA" Fields has been crowned as the ESL Major Series Season 5 champion after vanquishing the Ukrainian player Eugin "Strelok" Oparyshev in an all Terran final. In other news, the team based International Cyber Cup has just reached week eight and Gosu Gamers has presented an overview of the past and upcoming weeks. Teamliquid StarLeague continues with a lot of interesting matches in the 'Round of 16'. The South Korean Night Elf player Sung Sik "ReMinD" Kim battled to victory in the 122nd edition of the weekly ZOTAC-Cup organized by Gamesports.net. In the final he beat last week's champion: Human player Mihaylo "KaS" Hayda from Ukraine. Finally, the fourth edition of the prestigious Stars War tournament will be starting soon. With the unveiling of the European player list for the qualifiers, Gosu Gamers has provided a run down on the participants.

Season 34 of one of the oldest StarCraft leagues, the BWCL, ended this weekend. After eleven weeks of play the mousesports team finished first with 55 points, nine points ahead of second-placed NrT. Third and fourth places went to the American team 'pandemic' and the Polish team of 'ZZZ' respectively. For the full recap and an interview with the winning team's captain check Gosu Gamers.

The Chinese player Xuwen 'InFi' Wang and his army of Humans battled to victory during an intense final in the Trophy of Legends against the South Korean Orc player Eom 'FoCuS' HyoSub with a result of 3-2! InFi therefore claimed the trophy and 2250€ prize money, with FoCuS settling for the 1125€ runner-up prize. In the consolation final, Hong 'FarSeer' WonUi managed to grab 3rd place after defeating Chun 'Sweet' JungHee in a close match by the same score of 3-2. Also in the weekly ZOTAC-Cup edition #121 the Ukrainian Human player Mihail "Kas" Hayda emerged victorious by defeating the South Korean Orc player Kim "ViOlet" DongHwan to become this week's champion.

Last weekend the European Championship of the Intel Extreme Masters Season IV concluded in Cologne, Germany. Not only were the eight qualified teams competing for the "European Champion" title, there was also $15,000 in prize money and five spots at the Global Finals up for grabs. In a nail-biting final, the German team SK Sansibar (playing Death Knight, Paladin and Warrior) claimed victory by defeating the Rogue, Mage, Priest line-up fielded by Team Dignitas. SK-Gaming EU, Spanish team x6tence and iNNERFIRE were runners-up in 3rd, 4th and 5th places respectively. All VODs of the tournament are available now at ESL TV. StarCraft
The final qualifying round for TeamLiquid's StarLeague 2 concluded on Monday, with 16 players progressing to the last stage of the tournament. Check out the latest results and read the player interviews right here. Also, GosuGamers sat down with Swedish Terran player Stefan "MorroW" Andersson to talk about his performance during this tournament; be sure to have a look. In a grand showdown the Major League Gaming 2009 PC Pro Circuit concluded in Orlando, USA with the final tour stop last weekend. The top four teams from the 2009 regular season gathered to compete for the "2009 MLG PC Circuit Champions" title and $15,000 prize money. In the final match the American team of complexity Black defeated their clan mates complexity Red 3-0. The South Korean team Button Bashers and the mixed team of SK-Gaming US and Evil Geniuses ended up 3rd and 4th respectively. In other news, check out the interview with Ryan "Hydra" van Buiten of Team Dignitas, one of the most respected Priests in the Arena world. He is talking about his gaming career so far and his preparations for the upcoming Intel Extreme Master European Championship, for which the groups and schedule have recently been published.

The two groups for the European Championship Finals for Intel Extreme Masters Season IV have now been announced. These finals will be held in Cologne, Germany between the 14th and 17th January and streamed live by ESL TV. Elsewhere, the team formerly known as GODMODE will now be competing under the banner of the multi-gaming clan Team Dignitas. In addition, Michael "Zechs" Radford from SK-Gaming is back with his first Zechs Files of 2010 where he takes a look at the upcoming Major League Gaming finals in Orlando, USA and asks if anyone can beat the Korean team "Button Bashers."

Warcraft III
The 118th edition of the popular weekly ZOTAC-Cup ended in triumph for the South Korean Kim "ReMinD" SungSik. In an all Night Elf final he claimed victory over the South Korean Lee "Check" HyeongJu. The relegation matches of the 16th season of the prestigious team league WC3L have been announced and a lot of well-known teams are involved. These matches will decide who advances to the next stage of this exciting tournament. Also, the sign-ups for the popular Warcraft International Premiership (WCIP) have opened, after the league secured its future as part of the ESL Major Series.

It might be cold outside, but the heat is still on! Team Liquid StarLeague (TSL) is entering its qualifying stage and 48 players are still battling each other in this remarkable tournament. TeamLiquid recently announced the detailed schedule, rules and map pool for these qualifiers. One of the highlights of this phase will be the clash between two Americans: Terran player Greg "IdrA" Fields and Protoss player Tyler "NonY" Wasieleski. In other news, the qualification rounds for Season V of the ESL Major Series have finished and the competition now moves into the playoff phase.
